I would like to introduce myself:
HI, Rupert Harold and I am an outdoor fitness enthusiast. Growing up in Switzerland, I have always been keen on the outdoors in any form of activity from hiking, running, mountain biking, rock climbing, skiing, wakeboarding, road cycling, swimming, kayaking and many more.
In order to push my fitness threshold to new levels, I have taken part in a wide variety of challenges such as a 180km cycle around lake Geneva, the ‘Patrouille des Glaciers’ ski mountaineering race across the Swiss Alps, triathlons, Total Warrior and other obstacle course races (best finish 4th consistently top 20), summiting Mount Kilimanjaro, The Knighthood of Sufferlandria (the toughest indoor cycling challenge in the world), representing Great Britain at the Ski Mountaineering World Championships (2009) and Man vs. Mountain marathon over Snowdon to name a few.
My motto is to always maintain a base level of fitness to take on any challenge when the opportunity arises. I don’t enjoy training for the sake of training but I do enjoy completing a challenge as opposed to saying: ‘Sorry I don’t think I’m fit enough’.
Starting back in 2013 as an instructor for UK Outdoor Fitness as an instructor I have now set up UK Outdoor Fitness – Harrogate “Harrogate Boot Camp” as I wanted to share my passion for fitness and the outdoors. I have a lot of experience in the fitness industry from teaching a variety of fitness classes as well as individual training to help people achieve their goals. Throughout all this, I have discovered that the best way to get fit is to make sure it is in a fun atmosphere!
We hold 3 sessions a week:
Each session s different from the next to make sure your training doesn’t get stale and that you will keep seeing results and want to come back for more

Each class is 1 hour long and will include a 5 minute warm up at the start and a 5 minute cool down to finish. This leaves our highly qualified instructors with 45-50 minutes to take you through a fun filled workout. On top of the workout, you can expect a few fun fitness games. Most of all you will be able to walk away knowing you have had an efficient workout.
During the session, the instructors will lead the session whilst check everyone’s technique to make sure they are getting the best out of their reps and more importantly exercising safely. The sessions are suited to all abilities of fitness which our instructors can manage by providing exercises to time frames (so everyone can work at their own pace for the same time) and by giving different intensity options where required.
As well as the regular bootcamp sessions, we also enter fitness events such as the Total Warrior obstacle course race and most recently the Harewood 10km and ½ marathon trail race. On top of fitness challenges, we organise meals and other social activities together.
